Commissions

I would love to create a piece specifically for you. Art is extremely personal - the things we choose to display in our homes are a reflection of who we are and what we find joy in. What better way to bring a piece of art into your home than to commission it from the start.

My goal as an artist is to incorporate your vision into my artistic style to create a piece of fine art that is customized to you. I know commissioning a painting can feel a bit daunting though; you might be wondering if you’ll be able to convey what you want in a way that makes sense, if you’ll be able to afford it, or if it will turn out the way you envisioned. Above all, I want you to love your commission once it’s done, so I won’t start until we’re both really clear on what you’d like, and I will keep you in the loop with updates and progress photos!

This is my commission process:

  1. Fill out the eform below as best as you can

  2. I will get back to you within three business days with an initial price quote, including an estimate shipping cost, and my current lead time. I will also likely ask you for a reference photo (or multiple!) if you have one at this point.

  3. If you decide to proceed, I will put together a simple contract for us both to sign. There is a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the rest due upon completion.

  4. Upon receipt of the signed contract and deposit, we will work together to create a visual document incorporating any colours, details and subject matter you have in mind.

  5. When the commission is almost complete, I will send you photos of the art for your final approval. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage. Upon your approval, I will sign and varnish the piece.

  6. Upon completion, I will send you the invoice for the other 50%. When I receive payment, I’ll ship you the completed piece.
